You will have noticed that you are receiving this by Yahoo! Groups now. I do hope this is not a problem for anyone, but I am trying to improve the ezine. I was having trouble with my old mail delivery program. I do not like being in doubt as to whether I will be able to send out the ezine on time. You send your ads in and expect them to go out. That's the way it's supposed to work. Hopefully, I won't be having that problem now.

I will also have an improved system of subscribing and unsubscribing. I know that some of you don't like to have to response to a subscription notice. But, this is for YOUR protection as well as mine.

I am also considering some contests where you may win free solo ads. Stay tuned!

Welcome to Mara's Ads! This ezine is sent out twice a week. Wednesdays and Saturdays.

If you subscribe, you get a free advertisement. The ads are first come, first to be published.

6 lines 65 char. including url and email

Deadline:
Ads need to be in by Thursday to go in Saturday's issue
and by Monday for Wednesday's issue.

Solo ads are $3.00 per issue.
If you want to run a second ad for the week, there will be a fee of $1.00. The first ad is free as long as you are a subscriber.

Spring Cleaning - In the Fall

Recent events have caused me to rethink my priorities. The horrific events of 9/11 play a part but I can't say that it was the major catalyst for my introspection. As a Christian, I should be prepared to meet my maker at all times. I should be LIVING my faith. Eternity doesn't scare me.

I have been thinking about making a move to be closer to family. This means that my mom and I will have to sell our houses. Moving is not one of my favorite things to do. I'm sorting through stuff and cleaning out. It's time to get rid of the excess. I'm trying to be ruthless. If I haven't used it within the last 6 months (okay, year, in some cases), it's gone! My mom and I will be combining households, so she is having to do the same. It's terrible to be such a pack rat.

I decided to do some Spring Cleaning in my business as well. I belong to too many safelists. I had to decided if they were really helpful. Did I get enough new business to warrant staying on the list or did I just have a box full of mail? I decided to pare the number of lists down and rethink my own advertising strategies.

In addition, I had started my own mail list. But, do we really need another one? They're everywhere! I decided to shut mine down before it really gets started. I don't have the time or energy right now to do the safelist right!

My life is full with my "mundane" job, my church family, and getting ready for the move. By eliminating the excess, I'm simplifying my life. I'm reassessing my priorities.
