What Do We DO?
Last week will live in the minds and hearts of every American forever. International support has been wonderful, uplifting and necessary. As we remain shell-shocked and realize it will continue for a long time, we are all in a maze as to how to handle it.
Marketers are split between going on about their business. If they do, does that equate to a mercenary attitude? If they don't, are they giving in to a terrorist's wish-list? If they feel the need to be productive, does that mean they are uncaring because they are not glued to the tv set or radio? What do we DO?
We must not allow any vindictive judgments to permeate our thoughts. Everyone copes in their own way. Some people are being left without any functionality at all. And these are people who haven't had a family member or friend lost through this tragedy. They are depleted of spirit and feel relentless guilt if they even think of making any kind of business effort. I feel tremendous sorrow for them because I can appreciate exactly how they are feeling. I wish they wouldn't, though. They don't deserve to beat up on themselves. We did not cause this. Oh, we'll end it - but we didn't cause it and there is no reason for anyone to feel guilt or anything else that is counter-productive to moving ourselves ahead.
If you want to do something, DO IT. If you want to feel better about it, do what I've done - donate a percentage of your sales to a worthy cause! If it makes you feel stronger, put a flag in front of your face while you're trying to lift yourself out of the doldrums. It's not a silly notion.
What do we DO? Something! Anything! Take a walk, hug a child, kiss somebody and mean it, pick fresh flowers, go back to work. Don't allow some cretins to collapse your hopes and dreams. These are not "normal" times but we've got to start somewhere. Make today your somewhere.

Tips and Shortcuts
To Scan Disk
Before you begin, turn off your screen saver and make sure that all other programs are closed. Double check the programs in the tray. If other programs are open and/or running, you will receive error messages and it will slow ScanDisk. Be prepared for this to take a while, especially if this is the first time.
To begin: Go to Start, then Program, then Accessories, then System Tools, and finally, ScanDisk.
Make sure the correct drive is selected. Mark thorough (performs Standard test and scans disk surfaces for errors). Mark the box for Automatically fix errors and click Start.
When Scan Disk is finished, a box will appear with information on errors fixed, etc. Close the box and you are done!
