Karen Rose Smith:� Karen is the founding member, past-president, the first recipient of the Karen Rose Service Award, and a multi-published author for Silhouette and Kensington, of both long-and-short contemporary romances.� At the end of 1999 she celebrated her 25th book.� Her  September 2003 release is Marry in Haste, part of the Fortunes of Texas series from Silhouette.  In October 2003 she brings us The Most Eligible Doctor, a Silhouette Romance.. In 2004 she returned to Silhouette Special Edition with Their Baby Bond in January and Take a Chance on Me in March. Sylvia Baumgarten, a/k/a Sylvia Halliday, a/k/a Louisa Rawlings:Sylvia has written numerous (14 in all) American and European historical romances, including Marielle, Forever Wild, Stolen Spring, Promise of Summer, Wicked Stranger (a finalist for RWA's RITA Award for Best Historical Romance), the novel Summer Darkness, Winter Light (nominated by Romantic Times for Best British Isles Historical Romance), and her 1997 releases for Zebra, The Ring and Gold as the Morning Sun.� Forever Wild was a finalist for RWA's Golden Medallion for best historical (this predated the RITA) and Promise of Summer won Romantic Time's award for Best Historical set in France.
Monica Doerfler, a/k/a Monica Roberts:Monica has been a member of Central Pennsylvania Romance Writers since November of 1995.� She married Bob in 1960 and is the mother of eight, six birth children and two adoptees, both with disabilities.� Monica and Bob now have eight grandchildren, and have begun new careers for their retirement years. �Monica's first book Tempted, was published in December of 1999 by Dorchester/Leisure.� She is currently working on book number two of her learning process, working title, Louella.� Both books are historical fiction.
Natalie Damschroder: After obtaining her degree in geography and environmental studies from Ohio Wesleyan University, Natalie completed an internship at National Geographic Society and held several non-writing jobs before she started writing seriously.� Her book-length work, Hunter's Song, Second Chance at Forever, and last fall's Against the Rules are contemporary romances.� Echelon Press and Amber Quill Press also offer Natalie's shorter fiction in a variety of titles, including erotic/ultra-sensual novellas Storme Quest and The TreeKeeper.
Megan Hart: After several success with short fiction in magazines, Megan turned to full-length romance, science fiction, and fantasy. Her first published works included Exaltation of Larks (romantic fantasy)  and Nothing in Common (contemporary romance). Her first historical romance, Riverboat Bride, was released in July 2003, followed by Passion Model, erotic science fiction, in September 2003, and many more since. Her erotic novellas are bestsellers at Amber Quill Press.
Vicky Burkholder: In addition to her fantasy novel published in 2002, The Path to Orenda Clu, Vicky has 13 years of experience as a reviewer specializing in science fiction, fantasy, and romance, as well as the (less exciting) genres of computer manuals and general reference work. She also works or has worked as an editor, copyeditor, journalist, and technical writer, but her first and last love (besides her husband) is fiction. Learn more at www.scootersbooks.com.
Karl Fieldhouse:Karl's first published works were children's picture books, suited to his work as an elementary school reading teacher. More recently, however, he has become successful as a writer of both mystery and romance published by Avalon Books. The historical romance Miss Howell's Employment was released in June 2003.  Awful Advent was the first cozy mystery in the Pastor Abby series, with Lethal Lent in Spring 2004.
