India can prosper inspite of itself : PM


BALLIA: The Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, while addressing a kissan rally on the outskirts of Ballia, said that India has come a long way since Independence. It has overcome tremendous hurdles. He opined that once India manages to overcome itself, there will be no looking back. The comment was met by a
thunderous applause from the huge crowd. Mohinder Singh, a kissan, said that the government should take immediate action to defeat this monster enemy with massive military action and increased floor price for grain procurement.


Sensex rally energizes middle class


NAVI MUMBAI: Geetha Sundaram, 34, was ecstatic today about the rising Sensex. She expressed a sigh of relief that from now on, her husband will be fully pre-occupied with the pink papers. She strongly feels that this has rejuvenated the middle class housewives who can spend the afternoons running up the credit card bill. She plans to visit the temple soon to pray for more such upward swings.


India becomes the best No. 2 team in cricket history


COLOMBO: India has achieved the envied task of being the runner-up for the 37th time. Their unbroken streak now stands at sixteen. The Indian captain paid glowing tributes to the team for being able to achieve this. He said that the team was precariously close to victory after the bowlers restricted the opponents to a modest total. The batsmen showed their true mettle and converted a sure victory to a thumping loss. He expressed his delight in his team's brilliant consistency in becoming the second best for the last six years.
