BLS Heartsaver

This entry-level course offers basic guidelines for one rescuer adult, child, and infant CPR.  Other topics covered are, first aid for choking, how to recognize a heart attack, stroke warning signs, and recommendations for prudent heart living.

Recommended audience: General public, and mass CPR training.

BLS Heartsaver plus

This course is intended for lay providers who may be first responders to an emergency that requires the use of CPR. Topics covered are, management of foreign-body airway obstruction, one rescuer adult CPR, infant CPR, and how to recognize a heart attack.

Recommended audience: Lay responders to a cardiac emergency in the workplace or other setting outside a hospital.

BLS Heartsaver AED

This course covers the basic techniques of adult CPR and the use of the AED automated external defibrillator.  Other topics covered management of foreign-body airway obstruction, and how to recognize a heart attack.

Recommended audience: Firefighters, police, airline personnel, security guards, and those who may need to respond to a cardiac emergency.

BLS Healthcare Provider

This course is designed to meet the needs of healthcare professionals who respond to cardiac and respiratory emergency management.  This course covers foreign-body airway obstruction, one and two rescuer adult, child, and infant CPR. Other topics include AED, and the use of barrier devices.

Recommended audience: healthcare providers.

PBLS

The Pediatric Basic Life Support is designed to teach anyone responsible for the care of children about the hazards to which children may be exposed. This course covers foreign-body airway obstruction, child, and infant CPR.

Recommended audience: Anyone intrested in learning CPR for infants and children.

PBLS Plus

This course is intended for lay providers who may be first responders to an emergency that requires the use of CPR on children. Topics covered are management of foreign-body airway obstruction, one rescuer child, and infant CPR, and the use of barrier devices.

Recommended audience: Child care professionals, preshcool teachers, and aquatic/amusement park workers.

CPR Instructor

This course is designed to give people the skills needed to teach the BLS and the PBLS courses.
