The official 18 Miss Asia 2004 contestants met the Hong Kong Press and each other today. The 10 contestants already in Hong Kong met the 8 girls from China, India and Singapore. There are 6 contestants from Hong Kong, 6 from China and 6 international contestants. The girls were assigned numbers that alternate in the order of Hong Kong, International, China, Hong Kong, International, China and so on.
Although #1 Sherine Wong (Hong Kong) is the oldest of all 18 contestants at 25, she said that she doesn't see it as a disadvantage since she's had more life experience.
The press noticed that #2 Shikha Sharma (India) had a large scar on her elbow. She explains that the scar was from a traffic accident when she was a kid.
#8 So Young Ha, Da-In (Korea) had red bumps on her nose and she said that it was probably due to the climate change. A model now, she told the press that she has interest in starting a singing girl group next year with 4 other girls.
#15 Coffee Lu Jing Jing (China) was the China Preliminary winner. The Press thought she was delightful and lovable. Coffee told the press that she thought all the girls at Miss Asia were beautiful.
The current Front Runners and Press Favorites for this pageant are #1 Sherine Wong (Hong Kong), #8 So Young Ha, Da-In (Korea), #12 Apple Chen Lan Fang (China) and #15 Coffee Lu Jing Jing (China). |
