Crystal Palace players were in action at the SCCA Easter Congress last weekend.  Geoffrey Makumbi did very well,  with 4/6, but pride of place must be given to Samuel Franklin who beat GM Alexander Cherniaev and achieved an overall Elo grade of 2233.  This must be the first time a club member has beaten a GM in a long play tournament.

The Trost Trophy is being held at the club next Monday, 31 March at 7.45pm.  This ten second buzzer tournament has a first prize of £30 and other cash prizes at all levels.  Entry Fee £2.
