BYOB Restaurants

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board permits restaurant patrons to brng their own wine to a restaurant. It is perfectly legal to bring your own wine when dining out in a restaurant, even when that restaurant has a liquor license. However, you should also get the restaurant's permission to bring your own wine to their restaurant. Also, it is not good manners to bring a wine that is on their wine list. The BYOB concept is not to save money on the wines, but to enjoy your special wine that you bring.
The stipulation on bringing your own wines is that it must be purchased in Pennsylvania (State Store or Winery) or a homemade wine in Pennsylvania

A restaurant may charge a small corkage fee for providing glasses.

A listing of BYOB restaurants will be placed here. Any restaurants in Central Pennsylvania wishing to have their names listed here as a BYOB restaurant will be accommodated free of charge.
