Marwan Alfred Kishek
was born in Palestine in the Holy city of Jerusalem. Since his early childhood, he had a great passion for drawing and painting. With the encouragement of his parents and family he started practicing oil painting regurarly using his natural talent and love for nature as a guide. However, he decided to keep Art as a hobby and continued his education in Engineering. In 1979 he received his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Alexandria University in Egypt, and in 1984 he obtained his Ph.D. Degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Cambridge in England. In the same year, Dr. Kishek joined Birzeit University as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, then in 1987 he started his own Consultancy in Ramalllah, Palestine. He immigrated to Canada with his wife and three childrenand became Canadian citizens in 1994. Currently, Dr. Kishek works as a Professional Engineer for Desai/Nasr Consulting Engineers and as a Part-time Professor at the University of Windsor. |
