GNJILANE - One Serb was killed on Sunday when ethnic Albanians in the village of Vlastica at Gnjilane, Kosovo and Metohija, opened mortar fire on the nearby Serb village of Pasjane, the local church-national board quoted local radio enthusiasts as saying.
The ethnic Albanians fired nine shells on the village, located in the west of the Yugoslav republic of Serbia's southern province, soon after 6 p.m. local time.
The 65-year-old Serb, who was wounded in both legs by shell splinters, bled to death.
