BELGRADE - Spokesman for the Yugoslav Left (JUL) Ivan Markovic quoted Tuesday reliable sources as saying that ethnic Albanian separatists and criminals had murdered member of the JUL Directorate Dzafer Djuka, an ethnic Albanian.
Markovic told a news conference that the JUL Directorate had informed the public in June that members of the ethnic Albanian terrorist organisation calling itself Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) had abducted Djuka.
Markovic said that,"We have found out that Djuka has been killed from eyewitnesses that say that his mutilated body has been seen in the Rugovska gorge."
Djuka, an economist, was head of the Pec municipality social services department and member of the provisional executive council for the Yugoslav republic of Serbia's Kosovo and Metohija province.
