BELGRADE - Relations between China and Yugoslavia are traditionally good, and our task is to upgrade economic cooperation between the two countries, said Milivoje Miletic, vice-president of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.

At a meeting with the Chinese delegation in the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, he said that following NATO's aggression, our country had to adopt a new economic policy, define new priorities in the economy, and one of the basic ones is the reconstruction of the country, building of infrastructure and especially of the electrical power industry.

Vice-President of Shanghai Electric Corporation Mi Chiting said that the company was the biggest Chinese producer of equipment for the electrical power industry, with 25,000 workers in 300 factories and firms. The company's annual turnover is seven billion dollars.

The Chinese delegation, it was announced will hold talks with representatives of the Serbian Electric Power Company (EPS) about the delivery of equipment for power plants.
