BELGRADE - The general director of the Federal Administration for Navigation, Radisa Djordjevic, said on Saturday that a Danube Commission session in Budapest described as very constructive Yugoslavia's stands on the resolution of the resumption of navigation on the Danube.
Djordjevic set out that Yugoslavia's memorandum on the resolution of the problem of navigation on the Danube, halted after the destruction of its bridges during the NATO aggression, had been sent to the interested parties, was described as a good basis and supported entirely.
"We told the meeting, held on Sept. 29, that within 30 days we would supply the necessary documents on the resolution of the problem of resuming navigation on the Danube to international financial institutions," Djordjevic said.
The transport ministers of Ukriane, Bulgaria and Romania, who met in Kiev on Sept. 22, demanded from the European Union and the Danube Commission to give priority to a solution for free navigation on the Danube, Djordjevic recalled.
