Good news. It was announced recently that a neurobiologist at Princeton University genetically altered a mouse and made it smarter. The implication for genetically altering human beings in the future with similar "smart genes" is astounding.
At first glance, this startling news seems to be good for the transnational corporations that hope to profit off of patenting human genes, and altered human genes, in the near future.
However, in reality, by creating smart genes in mice, and later, in people, they will unknowingly be helping to build the worldwide communist movement.
The capitalist class does not know that smart genes are now found, almost exclusively, inside the bodies of communists and leftists. The proof of this can be seen in the fact that they join the Communist Party in the first place.
Secondly, communists fight for racial unity and equality, better rights and wages for workers, quality health care and education for everyone, peace, and ultimately, for a socialist society.
That's why they're smart. For example, two of the brightest minds of the 20th century, Paul Robeson and W.E.B. Du Bois, were Communists.
The capitalists, on the other hand, are born with dumb genes and are too dumb to be aware of it. They are the ones who promote the belief that poverty, unemployment, homelessness, racism and war are somehow part of the natural order of society. This is the main proof of their dumb genes.
It was Marx, with the help of Darwin's discoveries, who was the first to tell us why the bourgeoisie is so dumb. He explained that the bourgeoisie is that unfortunate class born with dumb genes. Of course, Marx didn't have the scientific tools we have today to prove it. He based his analysis at the time on observing the behavior of the bourgeoisie.
Students of Marxism will note that there are some gaps in Marx's written recordings during these detailed observations.
That's because it was at these times that Marx would be doubled over in laughter at the stupidity of the bourgeoisie. Unfortunately for us today, we have lost out on these especially funny, unrecorded moments.

Today, we can observe the dumb gene at work in people like Dan Quayle (aka Mr. Potato Head) and Gov. George Bush of Texas who has referred to Greeks as "Grecians," Kosovars as "Kosovanians" and East Timorese as "East Timorians."
Marx said it's hard for the bourgeoisie to hide the dumb gene. Sooner or later, they have to actually speak. That's usually when the dumb gene manifests itself.
For example, for a long time Bush did not answer questions about his cocaine habit. Finally, when pushed, he said, "I refuse to comment on something I may or may not have done. And here I want to emphasize what I may not have done, which, of course, depends on what your definition of the word 'not' is."
Some columnists have likened Bush to the Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz. This is a false analogy. While the Scarecrow had no brain, Bush does. It's just that the dumb gene is controlling it.
According to Marx's science of dialectics, the dumb gene alone, does not cause the stupidity of the bourgeoisie. The environment also plays a role.
But because the bourgeoisie always hang around with each other at fancy restaurants, tea collectives and mansion orgies, the dumb genes are able to proliferate and eventually, take over the brain matter of the entire class.
In Capital, Marx points out that if a member of the bourgeoisie has never talked to a working-class person by the age of 13, it is almost impossible to reverse the influence of the dumb gene.
Lenin further developed Marx's analysis of "gene struggle" in his seminal work, Right-Wing Dumb Genes, An Infantile Disorder. Here he points out to the Russian peasantry that the czar was so dumb that he didn't even know what a sickle was.
The peasantry was skeptical of Lenin's analysis until Lenin questioned the czar one day in front of a large group of peasants. The czar said he thought a sickle had something to do with ice cream. It was this revelation that sparked the first peasant uprising, which culminated with the Russian revolution.
Lenin's first pronouncement as head of the Soviet Union was to declare all popsicles free for the peasantry. This humiliated the ex-czar, who died of complete embarrassment. Lenin humorously used the image of the popsicle (along with the hammer) in the national symbol in order to poke fun at all the former czars.
Many religious people question why God would put dumb genes into some of his most treasured creation, human beings. It is the theologians who remind the congregations that God has a sense of humor and wants us to have one too. "Think of all the laughs," they say, "that dumb genes give to citizens during campaigns when people like Quayle and Bush are running, which would otherwise, be very boring and inhumane."
Once the trial period for smart genes in mice is over, the biotechnology corporations will begin the genetic alteration of human beings. This will be the death knell for the dumb gene population (i.e. the capitalist class). Lenin prophetically referred to it as the "withering away of the dumb."
In the meantime, we must support smart genes, but never tell the capitalists why. They're so dumb they'll probably think we've abandoned the class struggle.
