KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - The railway line between Kosovo Polje and the village of Lesak, the Yugoslav republic of Serbia's Kosovo and Metohija province, reopened Thursday after ethnic Albanian terrorists demolished the section of the line near the village of Mijalic, 3 km south of Vucitrn, on Sunday.
The ethnic Albanian terrorists loosened the screws on railway sleepers moving the tracks from their position because of which six passenger train carriages were derailed late on Sunday. Luckily, there were no casualties.
As of today, passenger trains again run twice a day between Kosovo Polje and Lesak.
The line is the only link that Serbs in Kosovo Polje, Obilic, Priluzje and Svinjar have with Kosovska Mitrovica, Zvecan and Leposavic where they get their supplies.
