BEIJING -- The Yugoslav economy should increase its presence in China, and vice versa, it was heard in Wednesday's talks in Beijing between Chinese and Yugoslav economy officials.
On the Yugoslav side, the talks were attended by Chamber of Commerce President Mihajlo Milojevic, and on the Chinese, by Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Jou Kezhen.
Promotion of cooperation between the historical friends is a constant policy and wish of the Chinese government, according to Jou.
He went on to say that the Chinese government attaches great importance to economic ties with Yugoslavia and supports Chinese companies in developing cooperation with Yugoslav companies.
Milojevic, for his part, said that Yugoslav businessmen are interested in increasing trade and promoting joint ventures with Chinese partners.
