BELGRADE -- Yugoslav telecommunications minister Ivan Markovic and minister for cooperation with world financial organisations Borka Vucic met on Monday with executives of the Serbian PTT Company, Telecom Serbia and commercial banks to discuss creating conditions for the normal work of Serbian Radio and Television, devastated in NATO's March 24- June 10 airstrikes.

A consortium for the reconstruction of Serbian Radio and Television has been formed, comprising the Serbian PTT Company, Telecom Serbia, the Beogradska Banka, Jugobanka, Delta Banka and Kontrol Banka banks, with the intention of securing national defence in the sphere of the media.

The consortium is open to all others who wish to assist with the reconstruction of Serbian Radio and Television so as to provide objective information at a time when the U.S. administration is seeking to continue its aggression on Yugoslavia by all methods, a government statement said.
