BELGRADE -- The Association of Journalists of Serbia condemend in the strongest terms the tendentious disruption of Yugoslav radio and television broadcasts by the United States and some NATO countries, the association said Monday.

The Yugoslav Ministry of Telecommuncations has determined that the disruptions originate from locations in neighbouring states, from ships and aircraft.

The disrupting of the first, second and third channel of Radio-Television Serbia and of the first and second program of Radio Belgrade, from the territory of Hungary, Croatia and some other neighbouring states - is yet another attempt of international so-called democrats to stifle the truth coming from Yugoslavia, the statement said.

The Association of Journalists of Serbia has addressed letters to international and national organizations of journalists abroad appealing to them to condemn and prevent the uncivilized acts towards news organizations in Serbia and in Yugoslavia.

The Association of Journalists of Serbia has also called on other journalist associations and organizations in Yugoslavia to condemn the latest attempt of media terror - disruption of the programs of Yugoslav radio and television stations.
