U.S.-led NATO countries are bringing to completion a plan called "ring around Serbia," or the building of a network of transmitters that will make it impossible for Serbia to broadcast the programs of Radio Television Serbia on FM waves and at the same time broadcast on RTS frequencies the Voice of America, Radio Free Europe and the news programs of other radio and television stations, Radio-Television Serbia (RTS) reported Wednesday evening.
Boasting about the project before the U.S. senate foreign relations committee was Robert Gelbard. The move is in violation of international norms in the field of telecommunications given that the frequencies have been allotted to Yugoslavia by international conventions, and it represents a classical example of U.S. state terrorism against Yugoslavia and Serbia.
By such criminal activity the United States wants to conduct the information occupation of Serbia with the help of its own, and some domestic so-called independent media, or NATO media, to be followed by the total occupation of Serbia and the installing of a puppet government to serve U.S. interests.
Radio Television Serbia has requested from appropriate state bodies to take steps on the international level - the European Union for Telecommunications and the European Union for Radio Broadcasting - to lodge a strong protest and demand from them to undertake measures to put an end to the media terrorism.
Radio Television Serbia has also addressed the International Association of Journalists in Brussels with a demand to put a stop to such anti-civilization acts, and RTS will also seek legal protection from international judicial institutions, RTS reported.
