Yugoslav minister for refugee and humanitarian affairs Bratislava Morina received in Belgrade on Monday Regina Bordoni, who heads the Belgrade office of the International Migrations Organisation, a government statement said.
Morina sharply criticised the Action Plan for the Kosovo Crisis, which the organisation has signed with the region's countries in connection with the repatriation of ethnic Albanian refugees to the Yugoslav republic of Serbia's Kosovo-Metohija province.
Her criticism was mostly directed at the fact that the plan envisages for issuing personal papers to refugees without first checking and consulting the Serbian government records.
Also, she criticised the proposed regulation of the areas of property ownership, legal representation and tenancy outside the Yugoslav legal system.
The Organisation's activities under the plan are in flagrant violation of the U.N. Security Council's Resolution 1244, which affirms Yugoslavia's sovereignty throughout its territory within its internationally recognised borders, Morina stressed.
This constitutes the Organisation's blatant interference in the political and economic regulations of Kosovo-Metohija against its legitimate government and with the design to rehabilitate terrorists of the ethnic Albanian so-called Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA).
Regina Bordoni, for her part, affirmed the Organisation's desire to cooperate with the Yugoslav government, primarily in health care for the refugees from former Yugoslav republics and displaced people accommodated in collection centres, the statement said.
