These are blocks I have made for
past raffle quilts

The quilt club I belonged to, once decided to make a Bird Quilt. I started out with the drunkard's path, and intended on making the bird pattern I had seen made from that. However, I decided they looked more like BATS to me, so I started over! image

I ended up making this "Flying Swallows" block, with red bellies, brown wings, and light blue background for the sky (looks white here). It has something like 64 pieces in it, so it takes awhile to finish, but it is an easy block!

This raffle quilt was made from fabric chosen by a committee of the same club, so all blocks would go together.
Below is a pic of the blocks laid out, as I tried to arrange them in the best order.
Beneath that, is 3 pics that I pulled out of the first pic, they are the blocks I made. the pics aren't real clear because all I have left now is a snapshot, which I took a picture of with my digital camera and then cropped out the 3 blocks from that!
