Making Gifts is Fun!

One of the most satisfying things to give someone is something you made yourself. One of my friends had a health problem that resulted in a daily grind of physical therapy. I made this little gift to encourage her. And I do mean LITTLE. The pieces were so small I had to hold them with tweezers while cutting them out. Compare the picture to the keys on the table in front of the frame!

These are digital snaps of my old pics that didn't come out so well to begin with, because unbeknownst to me, my flash was dying on my camera that night. I'm sure they'd look a little better if I scanned them, but I don't feel like uncovering the scanner at this time :(



On this poor quality close-up, you can still see the detail
that it was machine quilted diagonally in the ditch.
The last block I made in the lower right hand corner was
plain muslin with my the recipients name, my name and the date
I finished it machine written on free-hand. It doesn't show in these pics, though.
