Health Policies
Immunizations
*Certificate of Immunization must be obtained for all children within seven days of registration.
*All certificates must have child�s name, date of birth, and Physician�s name and full address.
*These records must be made available to the Department of Human Services, Bureau of Health.
Special Conditions
*If your child has an allergy, handicap, or is under a doctor�s care for any condition you must inform me.
Administration of Medicine
*Prescription medicine shall only be administered with:
*****1.A written order from a physician.
*****2.In the original prescription container according to the labeled instructions.
*****3.An Authorization to Dispense Medicine Form signed by a parent/guardian.
*Non prescription drugs shall not be administered by a provider without the written consent of the child�s parent/guardian (this includes bug spray and sunscreen).
*A record of all medicine administered at Cozy Corner will be maintained and available to DHS (if requested by licensor).
Meals and Snacks
*Nutritious meals and snacks will be served.
*Cozy Corner participates in the CareLink USDA Food Program.
*Menus are available for weekly viewing.
*Families are NOT ENCOURAGED to bring in food from home. This practice leads to upset with other children who are not offered the same foods.
*Breakfast, morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack will be offered at specific times during the day.
7-8 AM Breakfast
9 AM Morning Snack
11:30 AM Lunch
3 PM Afternoon Snack
*If your child arrives after 8AM please make sure they have been fed breakfast, it is a vital meal for them and is not served at Cozy Corner after 8 AM.
*The children are occasionally offered a special treat. Please be aware of this.
Proper Dress
*Children should dress in clothing that is:
1.Appropriate for play. Children WILL get messy.
2.Appropriate for weather. We will play outside everyday, weather & clothing permitting. FAMILIES WILL BE SENT HOME, UPON ARRIVAL, FOR APPROPRIATE CLOTHING IF A CHILD DOES NOT ARRIVE AT COZY CORNER WITH WEATHER APPROPRIATE CLOTHING FOR OUTSIDE PLAY.
3.That the child can manage independently when going to the bathroom.
*�Please label all clothing that will be removed after arrival (i.e.: coats, hats, mittens, boots, sweaters, etc).
*COZY CORNER IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST ITEMS.
Cozy Corner Employees
*All providers employed by Cozy Corner are qualified, experienced, and compassionate care givers.
*Providers have had background checks and will be CPR & First Aid certified.
*Providers employed by Cozy Corner may provide care for your child after they have had an opportunity to meet him/her.
*Providers employed by Cozy Corner ARE NOT substitute care providers if Cozy Corner should be closed for holidays, vacations, personal days, and emergencies. Substitute care providers are the responsibility of parents/guardians.
Parent Involvement
*Parents are encouraged to stop by at any time!
*Parents are welcome to join us for lunch and special events.
*The children love to learn new languages, crafts, books, etc. Please feel free to come share any interests you may have.
*We welcome any new ideas, craft paraphernalia, and resources you may be willing to give.
