* Cozy Corner is open MONDAY through FRIDAY from 7AM to 5:30PM.
* The only exceptions to this are Holidays, Vacations, Personal Days, and in the event of an emergency.
* If for any reason Cozy Corner should be closed or have to close, back-up care is the responsibility of each individual family.

* Cozy Corner is a "Well Child Care Facility."
* Under no circumstances should you bring your sick child to Cozy Corner.
* If your child becomes ill while in care at Cozy Corner, parents/guardians will be notified immediately and your child must be picked up WITHIN ONE HOUR. A designated adult will be notified if a parent/guardian can not be contacted.
* I do understand that illness is a hardship for working parents, but everyone's health must be considered.

* Cozy Corner will close for Vacation three(3)weeks each calendar year.
* Cozy Corner will close for five(5)Personal Days each calendar year.
* Dates for Vacations and Personal Days will be given ASAP.
* In no instance will families have less than four weeks notice of Vacation dates and Personal Days.
* No payment is due when Cozy Corner closes for Vacation or Personal Days.
* PAYMENT IS DUE FOR ANY OTHER VACATIONS OR DAYS OFF A FAMILY MAY TAKE.

January - New Year's Day
February - Presidents Day
May - Memorial Day
July - Independence Day
September - Labor Day
October - Columbus Day
November - Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving
December - Christmas Eve, Christmas Day (observed), New Year's Eve and/or New Year's Day

* Payment to Cozy Corner is due for the following week on each Friday by 5:30PM.
* Payment is due for the time your child is contracted, including sick days, holidays, and vacations.
* Child care fees hold your child's slot for any time he/she is absent from Cozy Corner.
* There is a late fee of $10.00 for EACH day payment is late.
* There is a fee of $20.00 for check that have insufficient funds.

*An initial non-refundable fee of $25.00 is due upon registration.
*Payment of registration fee will hold your child�s slot for up to two weeks.

*There will be a late pick-up fee of $1.00 per minute per child based on contracted hours. (i.e.: if contracted pick-up time is 5:00 PM, late fees start at 5:01 PM).
*Late fee is to be paid upon arrival of late parent.
*Please call if you know that you will be late. This way your child can be reassured that you will pick him/her up soon. Late fee is applicable.
*Closing time is dictated by the clock in the playroom.

*Child care will be contracted based on PARENT�S WORK HOURS.
*Children will be expected to stay with his/her parents on a parent�s day off and/or vacation unless previous arrangements have been made with Katie.
*The ONLY exception to this will be children who attend for PRESCHOOL ONLY.

*Part-time slots are shared slots.
*Changes in contracted part-time hours will be contingent upon a two weeks written request for change and availability.

*A written two week notification of withdrawal of your child from care is required.
*Advance payment of child care fees for the entire two week period will be due upon Cozy Corner receiving notification of withdrawal.
*If the requirements of this contract are not met or if there is a conflict in caring for a child, Cozy Corner maintains the right to terminate this contract without notice.

*An adult must accompany children into Cozy Corner. Plan a few minutes to help your child transition into their day.
*Safety Rules that are used during the day at Cozy Corner are also expected during the time the children are dropped off and picked up.
*CHILDREN ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE DRIVEWAY BY THEMSELVES!

Immunizations

*Certificate of Immunization must be obtained for all children within seven days of registration.
*All certificates must have child�s name, date of birth, and Physician�s name and full address.
*These records must be made available to the Department of Human Services, Bureau of Health.

Special Conditions
*If your child has an allergy, handicap, or is under a doctor�s care for any condition you must inform me.

Administration of Medicine
*Prescription medicine shall only be administered with:
*****1.A written order from a physician.
*****2.In the original prescription container according to the labeled instructions.
*****3.An Authorization to Dispense Medicine Form signed by a parent/guardian.

*Non prescription drugs shall not be administered by a provider without the written consent of the child�s parent/guardian (this includes bug spray and sunscreen).
*A record of all medicine administered at Cozy Corner will be maintained and available to DHS (if requested by licensor).

*Nutritious meals and snacks will be served.
*Cozy Corner participates in the CareLink USDA Food Program.
*Menus are available for weekly viewing.
*Families are NOT ENCOURAGED to bring in food from home. This practice leads to upset with other children who are not offered the same foods.
*Breakfast, morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack will be offered at specific times during the day.

*If your child arrives after 8AM please make sure they have been fed breakfast, it is a vital meal for them and is not served at Cozy Corner after 8 AM.
*The children are occasionally offered a special treat. Please be aware of this.

*Nap/Quiet Time is from approximately 12:15 PM to 2:30 PM. *Children ages 5 and under are required by the Department of Human Services (the child care licensor) to have a rest period.
*Infants & young toddlers will have a portable crib to sleep in. They will nap on their own schedules.
*Older toddlers & Pre-school age children will be given a mat to sleep/rest.
*2 blankets need to be provided by parents. These blankets will stay at Cozy Corner and cleaned regularly.
*Children who do not nap will have �Quiet Time.�
*If are visiting or picking up your child during this time, please use the door on the farmer�s porch.

*Children should dress in clothing that is:
1.Appropriate for play. Children WILL get messy.
2.Appropriate for weather. We will play outside everyday, weather & clothing permitting. FAMILIES WILL BE SENT HOME, UPON ARRIVAL, FOR APPROPRIATE CLOTHING IF A CHILD DOES NOT ARRIVE AT COZY CORNER WITH WEATHER APPROPRIATE CLOTHING FOR OUTSIDE PLAY.
3.That the child can manage independently when going to the bathroom.
*�Please label all clothing that will be removed after arrival (i.e.: coats, hats, mittens, boots, sweaters, etc).
*COZY CORNER IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST ITEMS.

*It is required that children have had some success with potty training at home before it is started at Cozy Corner.
*At no time will a child be forced to sit on the potty.
*Positive encouragement will be used at Cozy Corner to promote potty training.
*Use of Pull-Ups is discouraged.
*Several changes of clothing MUST be provided when potty training is started and the supply must be maintained.

*All providers employed by Cozy Corner are qualified, experienced, and compassionate care givers.
*Providers have had background checks and will be CPR & First Aid certified.
*Providers employed by Cozy Corner may provide care for your child after they have had an opportunity to meet him/her.
*Providers employed by Cozy Corner ARE NOT substitute care providers if Cozy Corner should be closed for holidays, vacations, personal days, and emergencies. Substitute care providers are the responsibility of parents/guardians.

*Positive reinforcement and praise will be used for each child.
*When a child exhibits negative behavior, they will be told gently, but firmly, that the behavior is unacceptable. Use of redirection may be used.
*If there are any major behavioral problems with a child, the parents will be informed and we will work together to help the child overcome the behavior.

*Parents are encouraged to stop by at any time!
*Parents are welcome to join us for lunch and special events.
*The children love to learn new languages, crafts, books, etc. Please feel free to come share any interests you may have.
*We welcome any new ideas, craft paraphernalia, and resources you may be willing to give.

The goal is to provide parents with a clear understanding of the expectations that I have of them and that they may have for me and any employees of Cozy Corner.
