The soft sound of the water kissing the shore flows.
The glassy stillness stretches out.
My onfucused glaze bounces off the reflected images
the calmness and serenity settle
choking me, hypnotizing me
only gently swaying grasses cover the soft earth
nothing but peaceful greenery
i stand, eye wild with need
just one ripple in the cold, hard glass
with nothing left
i fling myself into the still water
and smile inwardly as i sink
watching the rings spread around the glass
my last breath bubbles upwards
breaking the stillness
WHY THE SILENCE??
I feel folded into quiet unchosen, unwated
i did not ask to be here
always waiting, wanting,
simply to have a uninitiated question
would be nice
lessen the weariness that clings to my skin
and makes me tired of breathing
