A Cozad Alumni Association has been established. Memberships are: one year---$5.00, Lifetime---$50.00.

This money will pay the expenses of a yearly, all-classes social gathering at the Elk's on the Saturday night of Hay Days. Plus, when we have enough funds we will put that money to good use.....like awarding a scholarship to some deserving senior!

To become a member of the Cozad Alumni Association, send your name, street address, e-mail address, class year, maiden name, telephone number and dues (see above) to the Cozad Alumni Association, 42181 Road 768, Cozad 69130.

Announcements

The theme for the Cozad Alumni Hay Days' social gathering on Saturday night, September 12, 2009 is THE FABULOUS FIFTIES (thanks to Jim Heck, class of 52). Since the class of '59 will be celebrating their 50th class reunion, that will end the 50's decade.....so what better person to have come to Cozad than Elvis? Joseph Hall (who lives in Lincoln) will be performing at the high school auditorium on Saturday afternoon, September 12, 2009, from 3:30-5:30. Tickets will be $15.00. This will be a fund raiser for the CAA.

Joseph appeared on NBC's AMERICA'S GOT TALENT in 2008 and came in 3rd place. You can check him out on Google, or at http://www.erasoftheking.com. He is FANTASTIC!!!! You'll think that you're really watching and listening to the real Elvis!

At 7:30-midnight we will have our traditional social gathering at the Elk's Club and the classes that end in a 4 or a 9 will be the honored classes. We also encourage all classes who graduated in the 50's to attend this fun-filled night!

Brian Morris (class of 1953) has come up with a contest titled "I Remember Cozad From Back in 1950"! He will be sending alumni members the information/entry form the beginning of August which will be due back by August 20. The winner will be announced at the social gathering! So stay-tuned for this fun-filled contest! Those grads from the late 40's and the 50's will definitely have an advantage! The rest of us can just GUESS!!!! Hope all is well with all of you. I am looking forward to hearing from you and selling ALL of the Elvis tickets! This is a great fund raiser for the alumni association!

Since we will be having advanced ticket sales for the ELVIS performance here is how you can get a ticket now! Send your money to me: ($15.00 for each ticket) Connie Hanna Gengenbach, 42181 Road 768, Cozad, NE 69130 along with a SELF ADDRESSED STAMPED ENVELOPE and I in turn will send you back your ticket or tickets.

You may also renew your memberships (if needed) to me at the same address. $50.00 for a lifetime membership or $5.00 yearly.
