| So what are you up to tonight? Taylor asked me the next time we talked. Not much. Maybe a movie with some friends, I replied. Just another Saturday night in Tulsa. How about you? I think I may be going to this party. Isaac met a girl at a bar and she invited us. Could be fun, he said. Yeah, it sounds fun, I said, trying to block out the image of some older woman all over my boyfriend. Anything interesting going on in Chicago? He laughed. Actually, yeah. We did this radio thing that theyre going to air in a few weeks, and there were all these girls out front when we got there he started. How completely shocking I thought. And one of them just grabbed Zacs face and kissed him. It was completely hilarious. Especially since Zac just kissed her back! he said. I was giggling uncontrollably -- the thought of Zac and some fgirl making out in public struck me as uproariously funny. Shut up, Taylor! I heard Zac yell on the other end of the phone. She was friggin hot! Zac, she was like 13! And she was not hot! Taylor argued with his brother. Well Im only 16! And she may not have been Britney Spears, but she was hot. Not as cute as the chick who grabbed your ass, though Zac said. My giggling stopped immediately. Taylor didnt even notice. Yeah, I know, Taylor said to Zac. She was a babe. Which is why you had to hug her Zac said. Shes a fan! I have to be nice to them! Taylor said, laughing. Zac, get the hell out of hereIm on the phone! OK Tay, you manwhore, Zac replied. I heard a door slam and knew Zac was gone. Listen Nat, Ive gotta run. If were gonna go to this party I have to make myself look presentable. OK Taylor, I said softly. I love you, I told him. Yeah, I miss you too, he said absently. See ya, was the last thing I heard before the line went dead. |
