| Its hard to live your life with people constantly watching you. Its even harder when almost all of the people watching hate you. Im not talking about a stupid little Youre wearing the same skirt I am, so I hate you kind of hate. Im talking pure, unabashed hatred. The kind that brings obscenities, name-calling, and Internet death threats like theres no tomorrow. The kind that makes me wonder why Im even doing this in the first place. The worst part of the whole thing is the people who hate me dont even know me. They wont even give me a shot. They think its easy to be me, to do what I do, but they have no idea how badly it sucks to be me sometimes. ******************** Dammit Taylor, are you ready yet? Isaac yelled from outside the bathroom door. If I was ready, would I still be in here, dipshit? Taylor yelled back. OK OK smartass, lets just get going. The mechanic closes in 20 minutes! Isaac shook his head and started for the stairs. All they were doing was going to pick up his car. Some crazy woman had rear-ended him on his way home last week, and hed had to take the bumper back in his trunk. Sharing cars with his brothers for the last six days was not exactly the high point of Isaacs life and he was anxious to get his back. The fact that they were going to an auto shop in the middle of Tulsa where there would be five people, max (all men, too), was still no reason for Taylor to down his primping. The man insisted on looking perfect no matter where he was going or who he was gonna meet there. And it took forever! Taylor, no one at Mikes gives a shit if the wave in your hair is right! Can we please just go? Isaac called up the stairs. Ready, Taylor declared as he came barreling down the stairs, completely ignoring the yelling Isaac had just done. He pulled his arms through his leather jacket sleeves and grabbed his car keys as Isaac opened the door. The wave in his hair was perfect. |
