| Milkyway Halo: This is a shot of the center of our galaxy, taken just above "the spout" of Sagitarius. Taken on 5/28/2003 at 160mm for 35 seconds. You can see the Lagoon Nebula and Trifid Nebula both about half the way up on the far left side. | ||||||||||
| Sagitarius: Here is a shot of Sagitarius (the Tea Pot) along the southeastern horizan on 5/28/03. This was taken at 50mm for 45 seconds. The longer exposure shows the Lagoon Nebula directly above "the Spout". The light in the bottom right corner was a light from a farm house (oops). | ||||||||||
| Currently, the club is using: 1) an Olympus OM-10 with both a 50mm set focal and a 75- 180mm zoom. Need to get a 35mm set focal. 2) a Canon EOS SLR with 28-80mm lense. We also have a 70- 200mm, but I will need more experience with the shutter speed. 3) a Nikon F100 with a 28mm-80mm lense. |
