Line up change! If you were at our first gig (read below if you werent!) then you'll have noticed gaz wasnt playing bass for the cox, but for fudged instead. well, he's officially replaced their old bassist so we've asked ste ska to join the cox instead.
Our first gig! well, it was at the cresent, in rhyl last night (august 31st). we found out we had the gig the day before it was on, so i didnt really have much chance to put anything up about it on here but yer, it was cool. we stuck about 11 songs together and it ended up being a very drunken kind'v gig, very sloppy, all over the place and with no rhthym at all (abit like a spastic trying to have sex with can of spaghetti hoops). it was a right laugh though! we wanna thank everyone that came on such short notice, fudged for gettin us the gig and gaz for not being a bitch about the whole bass player thing! cheers!
Recording Demo CD! At the moment we're putting down a 3 track demo cd on "Drunk Munkey Records". This is our own label which we're trying to set up. its an independantly run punk and ska label. All 3 members of the cox help out with trying to set up gigs, recordings and at the moment we're working on a compilation cd. We're also looking for a venue somewhere out there that could host a once a month punk and ska night similar to the succesful "D&B" punk nights at the penrhyn old hall (called "Drunk Munkey" night). For 2 or 3 bands and punk and ska music inbetween the bands. If anyone knows of anywhere that would be suitable for this then please (PLEASE) email me- [email protected]
