Due to The Race Place upcoming vacation week, closing for the first week of June, we met this past Thursday. Our first Thursday of the month meet is for informal running of vintage cars, displaying and discussing all aspects of vintage cars, and generally enjoying each other's comapany, the cars themselves, and all things related to racing, preserving, restoring, and collecting all types of 1/24-1/25 and 1/32 slot cars.

Some track action featuring a retro custom 1960s Can-Am car made for Mike by one of our Slotblog custom builders. I got a chance to check out this car and to drive it - what a fantastic build and a great-performing car! Mike is a lucky guy. 8)

What's this - a slot car show? No, it is just a small part of Rob's rolling collection of vintage cars - all types from older 1/32 Womps to Parma rentals to all types of scratchbuilds, and just about every different old motor, too!

Joe Mig's very rare car with differential. I will need Joe to add the details himself, I did not write it all down . . . anyone out there know if this was a chassis kit or a scratchbuild??

My latest kit-bashed model-into-a-slot-car project completed, a '40 Woody and it made it's track debut. Being top heavy and too much traction had this old baby running very carefully, as it tipped over on tight corners . . . but no damage sustained and it is now in the home base display case. And who knows what I will build for next month's meet??!!

So yet another fun monthly meet with ten of us in attendance, a great group considering the last-minute schedule change. Regular racing will resume on June 21. Any and all vintage slot car enthusiasts welcome!! Hope you all enjoy the pix.
