![]() He felt tired when he arrived at the corner and discovered that the bus had already gone. He didn't have enough money in his wallet to take a taxi. He would either have to wait for the next bus, or walk home. It had been a long work day. The next bus wouldn't arrive for two hours. He decided to walk the three miles to his house. As he trudged tiredly towards home, a car pulled up beside him and it's horn was beeped. He looked up to see his teenage daughter driving her old rickety jalopy. It was better than walking, he thought. He got in the car, Sarah stepped on the gas before he could fasten his seat belt. They sped home faster than a jackrabbit. The next morning when Sarah got up for breakfast she couldn't find her car keys. "Mom? have you seen my keys?" "Sarah, I don't know what you said or did, but your father told me this morning that you would not be driving again until you were twenty-one." "He can't mean that!" Sarah cried. "All I know, is that he drove your car to work today. You will have to discuss it with him tonight at dinner." When her father got to work, his boss called him into the office. "Joe, I know you are a valued employee. I think after seeing what you are driving to work, it is time for a raise."
