ON MOONBEAMS
 Angelia ([email protected])
She knew how to dance on the earth,
With her bare feet touching the ground.
And she knew how to hear the stars sing,
Where the sweetest notes abound.
And oh how she tried to grasp a hand,
And share with that person the joy
Of all the sweet truths in love's wonderland
And all perfect trust to enjoy.
But why, I don't know, no one wanted to hear
The sweet sounds of love she could sing,
Perhaps they held other treasures too dear,
And had not the courage to cling,
To the star's brilliant songs,
The heart's dearest thrill
The things she desired with all of her will.
So though she loved, the dust on her toes,
And so, though she loved, the smell of the rose,
There was no one to share it,
No one learned her song,
So she danced into the sky
On moonbeams..........alone.
