THE "CRICK"
 Phyllis Ann ([email protected])

The challenge was to use these 6 words in a poem or story:
crick, earnest, curled, topping, light, spiffy.

The "crick" by our house is a good place to be curled up with a book,
Its topping of rocks gives it a spiffy look,
When I want to feel some light,
I just take flight,
And go down to the "crick" where I don't feel so tight.
If I want to be earnest about anything in life,
The "crick" is the place to get away from all strife.
Its peaceful bank is mossy and green,
A great place to get away from the routine.
Don't ever underestimate the power of the "crick",
It will cure you of what makes you sick.
E're the final setting of the sun,
When my life's work on earth is done,
Don't place me in a mausoleum of brick,
Just bury me deep in the bank of the "crick".
