Something's wrong!!! Sniff, sniff. It's smoke. Scamper out into hallway. Oh my gosh, the living room is on fire and it's coming this way. Scamper back into bedroom. She's still asleep. ARF, ARF, come on lady, wake up, the house is on fire.

ARF, ARF......she's still asleep. Tugging at covers with teeth. WHEW! She's finally awake. Noooooooooo, don't go into the hallway, that's where the fire is. Jumping up on bed and jumping at bedroom window. What's wrong with her? Can't she see the window is the only way out now?

Finally, she sees what I'm doing. She's opening the window and pushing out the screen. The room is filled with smoke now. She's lifting me toward the window. Nooooo, there's no time for this. Bite hand, bite hand and throw self away from her. Thank goodness, she's crawling out the window now. I can hear the sirens of the firetrucks as they arrive at the house.

Jumping up to look out window. Thank God, she's safe. She's my whole world, couldn't live without her. Smoke so thick, hard to breathe. Flames at end of bed. Feeling sleepy. Funny, doesn't hurt anymore. One last jump at window. Firemen are holding her. Won't let her go. Oh noooooo, she's broken loose, running toward window. Go back, please go back, the bed's on fire.

Hand coming through window. Being liifted by hand. Trying to lick hand, but too weak. Not breathing anymore. Film over eyes, can barely see her face. Face so beautiful, face is my whole world.

Hurts! Pushing on chest hurts. Mask on face, AIR! I'm breathing air. COUGH, COUGH. She's holding me in her arms. Raise head, lick face, lick face. She's crying. Why is she crying? Doesn't she know how much I love her? Doesn't she know she means more to me than life itself?

Sleepy now, tired and sleepy. Maybe we can play when I wake up.
