One of the surge of baby boomers, Lea (Sharon) Miller nee Connelly, was the only child of a charming drunken Irishman and his pretty bride. Born in 1946 in a tiny farm community in southern Illinois., she grew up in a 4 room house with a path, sequestered amid corn fields.
At the tender age of eight she read the "Highwayman" and was lost forever ... addicted to the opium of poetry. One of those dreamy book reading children, her besetting sin compounded with the aid of a flashlight reading under the quilt till long past her bed time. She remains to this day uncured of this infection, "the love of words." Her fingers stained with ink and the dust of several libraries clinging to her hair..widowed now she works and writes sans shame still in love with words...
