~IRISH LACE~

Irish Lace, so delicate 'n fine
Tatted by an aunt of mine.
Loops appearing oh, so swift
As she made the Christ'ning gift.

Molly's newest bairn would be
Christened Sunday, next, at three!
'Tis tradition, here about,
Auntie's lace she'll wear, no doubt!

With fingers flying through the thread
Poor Auntie never went to bed!
Sunday morn, it came so fast,
But, oh! The lace was done, at last!

Molly's bairn was wrapped in lace
It framed her pretty little face.
Auntie, who was pleased as punch,
Fell asleep through Sunday's brunch!
