THE WILLOW TREE
 Phyllis Ann ([email protected])
The challenge was to use these six words in a story or poem:
copse, afternoon, willow, take, treat, near
The willow tree doth weep,
near the bank of the stream.
The afternoon sun shines softly
on the grass where we lie and dream.
Life goes by with the tick of the clock,
as we take a few minutes to comtemplate and take stock,
of our lives rather short,
in the order of time.
We need to treat life as a flower
that fades in a copse by the stream.
It is ever so fragile
and seldom what it seems.
