One of the few things I've found in this world that's even dumber than the bible itself, is a fundamentalist. A Fundamentalist is someone who holds the belief that all statements made in the Bible are literally true. They have a common lack of reasoning ability and vicious intolerance toward those not sharing the fundamentalist's delusions. Thus, fundamentalists are especially intolerant of those able to draw obvious conclusions from observed facts, those who refuse to seek shelter in comforting falsehoods and those who wish to lead their own lives.In herds, fundamentalists are about as useful to society as wandering bands of baboons brandishing machetes. Consider the ignorance of the average fundamentalist. Then realize that by definition fully half of them must be even dumber than that. |

Do Creation adherents imagine that God is a cosmic hoaxer who has created that whole vast fossil record for the sole purpose of misleading mankind? If you believe in Noah and the Ark, then you have to believe that God concealed all evidence of the flood and intended to fool scientists.
Christianity is a religion based on Fear, Self Righteousness, Moral Superiority, Bigotry, World Domination and Mutual Ego Masturbation.

The children are taught that:
You are all equally unworthy in the sight of God.
You are born in sin and are sinful by nature.
Don't think, don't question, Believe.
If you have value it is not because of anything you have done
or could ever do, it is only because God loves you.
Submission to what you cannot understand is the beginning of morality.
Do not be "willful", self-assertiveness is the sin of pride.
Never think that you belong to yourself.
In any clash between your judgement and that of your religious authorities,
it is your authorities you must believe.
Self-sacrifice is the foremost virtue and the noblest duty |
