When we think of cowgirls, a lot of names come to mind, but how about Katie Perkins. Katie was the winner of the Sulphur, Louisiana, Cowgirl "search", a pre-lude to this tour. A true cowgirl, she is an example of the old west spirit that lives on in cowgirls today. There are women all over this country that work on ranches, roping, riding and herding cattle. Quite often these women are in situations where they must shoot predators that threaten the herds.
Still, many cowgirls are working at other jobs, coming from all walks of life.
The Great American Cowgirl tour is a new Rodeo Tour that involves Barrels, Poles,Goat Tying and Break-a-way roping. We're looking for that one woman who can out ride, out rope and compete for the top position of America's newest living legend.
Maybe you know her. She could be your Banker, your Neighbor, or even the little girl you raised.
The true "American Spirit" was developed in the Old West. Legends are told of famous cowboys and cowgirls, but even now, there are still legendary men and women roping, riding, and herding cattle.
To be the Greatest American Cowgirl will be a process of elimination from good cowgirls, to find the best.
