In All God's Village twins were born on regular intervals. Usually twin girls were born into the village but on occasion a pair of twin boys would be born. The twin boys were then called Altar Twins. Bearing no difference except gender, Altar Twins were exaclty like the Twin Shrine Maidens. Both Altar Twins and the Shrine Maidens were used in the Crimson Sacrifice if the Abyss started rumbling. In the game, there are only two pairs of Altar Twins mentioned, The Tachibana boys and Ryokan Kurosawa, Sae and Yae's father, is a Remaining. Mutsuki and Itsuki Tachibana
