| Philip Anselmo was born on June 30, 1968 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Phillip joined the band PANTERA in 1988. With Phillip, the band released there most succesful independent album - "Power Metal". This album helped the band gain a large underground following. In 1990 Pantera was signed to Atlantic records and released "Cowboys from Hell". Since Cowboys from hell, Pantera has released 5 more albums.
