Both songs feature the the following instrumentation---Double Drums (seperated Left & Right speakers), 2 Lead guitar tracks (1 Les Paul, 1 Strat), Fretless Bass (before I bought my fretted bass) and Yamaha B3 crappy imitation organ. "Dreams" also has an electric piano track, and "Whipping Post" has an egg shaker and 2nd B3 track added whenever there are no vocals. "Bowling For Biscuits" was written by Stan Hodgin (former bass player for the Gentrys). His band, Living Industry, released it on their album, "Chunx This Big" back in the 80's. This was about the 4th or 5th song I ever recorded and was done on the old 4 track. Instrumentation includes Drums, Bass, Guitar, Harmonica and me tapping on a drinking glass with a spoon. UP NEXT: I'm working on 2 more Allman Brothers (Melissa and Never Knew How Much) tunes I started on about 2 years ago. All I had was the acoustic 12 string track, but I've since added a drum track, bass and non-distorted lead guitar track. I'll post them later. |
