Europisches Jugend-Treffen von Taiz
[ 29.Dez 2003 02.Jan 2004 ]
So das war Hamburg fr mich
( please now hear my story, let me tell you about it! )
A Pilgrimage of Trust is the slogan that the community of Taiz has given to the Meeting. This shows a desire and need of community, social interaction, and showing an interest of understanding one another.
Through God and Religion we find somethin in common to share, for this Nationality or religious denomination are not important.
As
participant of the Hamburg European Youth Meeting let me tell you I spent great
time living memorable and incredible Experience there...
28.12.03 : here we are! Finally after loong-long time Im gonna come back to Germany!
the Trip by bus makes me hang-over even if I dont drink anything, but hey:
1200 km in 16 hours are not a pleasant journey eh eh eh.
29.12.03
: we all get an hamburger religious community who offers its hospitality to
everyone.
Mine
is called Heilige Kirche, catholic and such friendly and theres not only
Italians like me, but a numerous Polish group, Serbian, Albanian and obviously
German people.
My german grandma is such hospitable and enthusiast, talking with her I realize my German is surprising good and I speak in English just if necessary...yeah I play as translator for 2 other Italian girls living there with me.Ah, dont ask me what the Europeans think about Berlusconi, the clown-president of my country...
30.12.03 : at the parish, first discussion in the morning on frre Rogers Message...
then in
the afternoon I work as
Security-Assistant at the Hamburg Messe-Halle, screaming
in the cold outside keep your left! / dont push! / move slowly!
 to a big
european crowd with proud Croatians...
in front of my face I see dancing young
people from all over Europe patient Germans / singing Italians / lovely
Polish
girls breathing one european
Atmosphere...
I meet
3 cool girls from Poland sharing with them great part
of my free-time there.You
would like to know, but
I let you imagine...
I take part to a conference entitled What do I need Europe for and I have the opportunity to take the microphone and talking to 600 people...
so all prime ministers and majesty around the world, please stop building blind walls of rage, just try to create bridges of hope... ...as Pope Woytila said...
31.12.03
: anti-terrosistic alert:
German police discover a bomb in a Hamburg
military Hospital...but
today
I decide to go to the hamburger Hafen, Hamburg-harbour. I take a visit on a
enourmous boat from Russia, its still cold but polish people
keep
me good company till my leaving.
We
celebrate the New Years Advent at the parish, during the
International party as
usual we Italians lead the fun you know, its simply
Latin
spirit! Dont wanna go to bed just at 2 A.M., so I bring out the
Polish
girls through the subway, Running through that big city, fooling around on
Reeper-Bahn Street all night long till the morning-after...
And St.Pauli looks like a little Las Vegas with all its lights, casino and sexy-shops.
01.01.04
: schnes Neu-Jahr alle zusammen!
Ive
been in touch with a american Girl by mobil sms: today after 2 Independence Days
at the Ederle I meet her again and thats great.
We
take dinner in the Halle talking about this velvet world; hey Lydia hope to see
you sooner next time, dont you?
02.01.04 : its time to coming back but I always keep in mind what Ive lived, singin in so many different languages heavens songs that actually are not a Babel, but an only Language written in the Stars; _bleeding_cowbov_keeps_on_smiling_xxx_

We young People from all over Europe came in Hamburg together to celebrate the faith that unites us; and in our everyday lives weve made small steps towards Justice, Solidarity and Peace...the European Meeting is a sign of Hope and encouragement in a divided world. Searching for the Understanding between people of all nations, weve been there because of Jesus Christ... Sharing this meeting about Hope and Ideas for a peaceful Future guess its a Blessing from God... an impetus for Justice and Peace in Europe and over...
