| THERE BAAAAAAAAAAAACK! The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are finally back and staying for good so i'm hoping! 4Kids Entertainment known for playing shows like Pokemon, Mario, Cabbage patch kids etc... have agreed to bring back the TMNT. Starting the first quarter of 2003 the 26 episode series of a new ninja turtle T.V. show will be shown from 10:00-10:30 on Saturday mornings. Fox is the station to see the green team every Saturday! The turtles will be going back to there comic book roots but will not loose that hilarious funky humour they always have had. "for kids will also serve as the exclusive merchandise liscencing agent for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles property worldwide" (ninja turtles.com). So the clothes, lunchboxes, hats, watches AND the TOYS will be back....THERE WILL BE NEW ACTION FIGURES. It seems playmates is already working with 4Kids to produce a new line of TMNT toys to come out with the show!!!!!! Those looking for CGI turtles for the new show will be dissapointed. 2D cel animation is being used. Actually it's more of a 2.5D cel animation because the background has a sort of 3D look to it (watch Futurama to understand). For you video gamers, you on the other hand will not be dissapointed. Be sure to expect some TMNT games in the near future. Ilya Skorupsky is the Lead director for the show. The head writer is Lloyd Goldfine and an interview with him will hopefully be on ninjaturtles.com in the future. The famous phrase the turtles will say now is "SBKNA" standing for "Serious Butt-Kicking Ninja Action". Not to bad i guess. HOPEFULLY! this will get the new TMNT movie on the get go. Well thats all for now keep an eye out on the official site and my site to find out more! E-mail me if you have questions about anything TMNT! |
