Timka is really something. He�s teaching us something new every day. And his smile is enough to keep you going through any of life�s frustrations. Not that we have many, here in the cradle of civilization. What an amazing place. The pyramids are the classic backdrop, but the real beauty of Cairo is less obvious and in some ways more striking: sunsets over the Nile while sipping a glass of wine, donkey carts trotting by the house, delivering fresh mangoes to market, a herd (!?) of camels being driven home along the highway, and the desert itself, a vast sea of sand, a barren Mars-scape that makes your head spin in wonder. Watching it, you feel like you�re in a science fiction movie or on an interplanetary tour. What planet are we on?
