This was just an amazing trip for us and promises to live long in our memory.  In fact, it was our only true vacation (defined as a rest longer than a weekend!) in the past 3 years.  We had it all:  Shopping in Paris, visiting old friends from Kiev, tasting fine wines and fresh Normandy cheeses, sunbathing on the Mediterranean coast, and watching Germany play Mexico in a World Cup match!  It was truly outstanding.  We highly recommend visiting Languedoc instead of Provence -- it's clean, quiet and is dotted with ancient castles and picturesque wineries.  Don't forget to visit our friends Christian and Emille at their artists' studio in the winery, Domaine de le Hospitalet, 11 100 Narbonne France:  33 04 68 45 22 25.
