Fire Meditation
Take some time to get comfortable. Once you are comfortable, close your eyes and begin breathing slowly, letting the air in and out as you relax your entire body.
See yourself sitting in front of a fire outside. You can feel the warmth of the fire on your face. You watch as the flames dance in all directions and are intrigued by the way the flames move.
Slowly, you see yourself becoming the flames. You can feel your warmth, but you are not burning, just warm. You are dancing around just like the flames and you enjoy the freedom of the movement.
After a few mintues, you feel yourself rising up into the air. You float up and up, to the top of the trees, through the atmosphere, and into space. You look up and realize you are heading for the sun.
You float on to the sun, and as you draw closer, you can feel its warmth. You are not burning, and you are not hot, you are warm and comfortable.
When you approach the sun, you land upon it and look around. You are warm with its energy. You see the heat rising off of it, but you still are not hot, just comfortable.
As you walk, you see a castle like building in front of you. You walk up to the building, and you knock on the door. The door opens for you, and you walk in. When you walk in, there is a man standing there. He is young and very strong, and had tanned skin from his work outside in the sun.
He tells you to come to him, and you both sit down in large, comfortable chairs. He tells you that he is the Sun God, and that he gives you the strength and energy you need to survive. He tells you how the plants grow, and he tells you his secrets. After a while of talking, he tells you that he must retire because winter is coming, and he is tired. Before you leave, he tells you that you are welcome to visit him whenever you may need him. You bid each other farewell.
As you walk out the door, you feel yourself floating back down, away from the sun. You see yourself floating in space. Then, you re-enter the atmosphere of Earth. You go past the tops of the trees and back into the dancing flames of the fire. You thank the fire for its help. You then feel yourself sitting on the ground again. You begin to breath regularly again. You then open your eyes and realize that you are back where you started.
Fire Spell
Mirror Spell for Self Knowledge and Self Healing
You will need:
- a mirror large enough to see your entire face
- paper and pen
- white candle in cauldron or pot
Relax. Ground and center yourself. Once you are relaxed, gaze at yourself in the mirror. As you do so, see yourself how you truly are. Think about your good and bad qualities. Think about your tendencies and your habits. Think about the true you. After a few moments of thinking, write down the things that you would like to rid yourself of. Once you are finished, take your paper and set it aflame with the white candle and set it in the cauldron to burn. As it burns, visualize yourself getting rid of those attributes. Then say:
Great Goddess, Great God,
I ask for your help and
strength to help overcome these
things I wish to rid myself of in order
to make me a better person.
An it harm none,
So Mote it Be!
