Air Meditation
Take some time to get comfortable. Once you are comfortable, close your eyes and begin breathing slowly, letting the air in and out as you relax your entire body.
See yourself as a young child of about 10 or 11. You are outside playing in a very large back yard with two huge oak trees in the yard. It is Spring outside, and the air is warm, with a brisk breeze blowing around you. You are a little tired from all that playing, so you lay down in the grass. Where you are laying, you are in the shade of the tress. You can see the trees swaying the wind, back and forth with every gentle breeze. You see yourself becoming the tree, swaying slowly with the breeze. You feel the wind blowing through your leaves, and you are calm and relaxed and happy.
You then float up, away from the tree, and into a very large, fluffy, white cloud. You feel yourself become the cloud, as it rests above your tree. You can feel the softness of the cloud, and you can feel the wind all around you.
While you are being the cloud, you hear a voice in the wind. It sounds like an old, wise man. He is whispering to you. He tells you that the winds can help you and guide you in life if you call on them, and that he will be there for you anytime you need him. He tells you about the four winds, and he tells you about his secrets.
After a while, he tells you that you are a child of the elements, and that you are welcome to contact the wind anytime. He then tells you goodbye. After a few minutes of relaxing as the cloud, you decide to head back to your tree. You thank the cloud. You slowly decend from the sky, just as the wind would. You enter the tree once again and you feel the breeze through your branches and leaves. You thank the tree. Then, you feel yourself lying on the grass once again. You feel the breeze on your face and the sun on your body. You slowly feel your breathing becoming regular. You then open your eyes, and you realize you are where you started.
Air Spell
Spell for Creativity
You will need:
- two small squares of purple cloth
- needle, thread, scissors
- stone: lapis lazuli or ruby or sodalite or blue tourmaline or black tourmaline (your choice)
- herbs: pick three of the following: anise seed, basil, catnip, hawthorn, lavender, St. John's Wort, vervain
Ground and center yourself. Begin sewing your pouch with the two squares of cloth. Make sure you make it small enough to fit in a pocket. Leave a small hole in the pouch large enough for you to add the herbs and the stone. Once you finish sewing, place a pinch of each herb inside the pouch. Then, place the stone of your choice inside the pouch. After this is done, continue filling the pouch with herbs until full. Once you are finished, sew up the hole and place it on your pentacle. Meditate for a moment on why you need creativity in your life. See yourself at full creative force. Then say:
Great Goddess, Great God,
I ask you to lend me the creativity I need in order to help myself.
Please help me in my endeavor.
An in harm none, So Mote it Be!
Carry the pouch around as long as you need it. Once you are finished with it, bury it in the earth.
