Lydia Leah Elizabeth Jessie
It all started off in the summer of 1996, at Baby CTY: specifically, first session Washington College. Two girls were on the same hall. They were Leah and Lydia. During the years of 1996 and 1997, they attended Washington College together - first year as hallmates, second year as roommates.
Then they mutually decided to go to Saratoga Springs for their 3rd year together. Lydia was on the floor above Leah. This was the year that they met Jessie. Lydia became close friends with Jessie, but Leah only knew her as an acquaintance.
Finally 4th year CTY, Saratoga Springs (Skidmore College) rolls around. Introducing Elizabeth, some girl who wore a tie-dye shirt and blue jeans on the first day (the only colored article in her wardrobe) to... what? throw us off?
Lydia and Leah kept on LOSING TRACK of Elizabeth, so they began to refer to her as "their third" and finally Lydia was the FIRST and Leah was the SECOND, due to the fact that Leah "glued things together" (or something). So the three of them were just being a trio when they went to IMPROV, a very boring activity about three days in, together. There Lydia and Leah re-meet Jessie, and... a Coven is born. If you ask us to explain it, we simply can't. Sucks for you.
There have been many Coven wannabes. One was a girl named Tanya who was only with us part of the time, and spent the rest of the time with THE OTHER RYAN and this other guy named James, who looked like this other kid WHO GOT CRABS (well, ... figuratively) who shall remain nameless. ;)
Since CTY has let out, the Coven has met in little clumps here and there and again. There was a mini-reunion between Leah and Elizabeth for Leah's birthday. Then, later on, there was a giant get-together to go see that Controversial Exhibit (the Sensation Exhibit) in the Brooklyn Art Museum, where all four attended. Then, in January, Leah went to Elizabeth's, where her family fell in love with her. Then, in Febuary, Elizabeth and Lydia went over to Leah's to go to the Semi (linkage to those pictures on the main page). Now, this Memorial weekend, it looks like Elizabeth and Lydia will be dropping by again to see Graduation and help with the yard sale and generally be themselves. WE LOVE THE COVEN.
If you are going to go to Saratoga Springs 2nd Session 2000, you might just see us (sans Lydia *sob*). AMAZING!
