In March of 2002, the Cove Rural Fire Department moved in to its new 5000 Sq, Ft, (Mae Ala) Station. The all steel, welded construction building is named in honor of the family who donated the land it sits on, located just North of the Town of Cove at the junction of Polk County road 24 and US Hwy 71. The station has four bays, an office, restrooms, living quarters, and a 725 square foot training room. At this time the station houses a brush truck, a pumper, a tanker, and a rescue truck equiped for extracation.

THE EMERGENCY NUMBER FOR THE COVE FIRE DEPT IS 911. FOR INFORMATION CALL 870 387 5791 (TOWN HALL) FOR THE TOWN OF COVE FIRE DEPARTMENT OR 870 387 3642 (SECRETARY) FOR THE COVE RURAL FIRE DEPARTMENT. ALL FIRES AND OTHER EMERGENCIES SHOULD BE REPORTED THROUGH THE COUNTY 911 SYSTEM. INDIVIDUAL FIREFIGHTER'S HOME PHONE NUMBERS ARE NOT POSTED FOR PRIVACY REASONS.
